Our temporary textile recycling bins collected 1662kg this year!

This year’s yield is nearly 600kg more than last year – an encouraging trend.

If you’re not aware, the Town Council sets up temporary collection bins for textiles every year around the Chinese New Year festive season. These 13 extra bins make it easier for residents to drop off textiles for recycling during spring cleaning.

Outside of the festive period, residents can also drop unwanted textiles off at any of our 24 permanent textile recycling bins all year round.
